Dallas College runs a homeschool dual-credit agreement with an assigned liaison who registers the student each semester. Students can carry up to 18 credit hours a term, and the college recommends core-curriculum courses inside an associate degree pathway.
The tuition waiver applies to eligible Dallas County residents and covers tuition only. Course-related fees and IncludED materials fees are billed, and those are the kind of costs a TEFA homeschool account can pay because college courses are an approved use.
Students already enrolled in an accredited private or online high school can't use the homeschool agreement, though they may still take college courses through concurrent enrollment for college credit only. Private schools in our directory often arrange their own dual-credit partnerships, so ask the school which college it uses and who pays.
Combining it with other sources
Few Dallas families pay with one source alone. This one generally stacks with a school's own discounts and need-based aid and with at least one other source on our funding list, and the funding check lays out the combination that fits your child.
