Compared with the homeschool account
A homeschooled TEFA student receives $2,000. Against AmFaith's pricing, that leaves a family about $260 short in the early grades and about $1,000 short from grade 3 up.
Approval comes before payment
No online program can be paid from an account until the Comptroller approves it, either as a participating school (accredited, operating at least two years, with a Texas office) or as a marketplace vendor. Check AmFaith's current Texas status before you plan around TEFA paying for it.
A church-hosted model
A Dallas-area congregation could host online students on its campus a few days a week, supplying space, supervision and community while the online school supplies the coursework. Once accredited and operating for two years, a learning community like that may apply to TEFA as a school in its own right.
Our relationship
AmFaith does not pay us and is not a sponsor of this site. We include it because its prices sit close to the Texas homeschool tier, and we hold it to the same standard as every other school we describe.
